Nursing Administration & Strategy
Aileen F. Tanafranca, DNP, RN, CCRN, NE-BC
Vice President, Nursing Operations
The Nursing Administration & Strategy division at TBHC oversees all Nursing inpatient units and helps oversee Med-Surg, Critical Care, ICU, Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab and ED Nursing divisions in collaboration with other nurse leaders.
Beyond managing operations for TBHC, Nursing, Admin & Strategy organizes major events throughout the year, including Nurses Week each May, which culminates on National Nurses Day on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, and Emergency Nurses Week during October, with a special focus on October 9, Emergency Nurses Day.
One of the gems in the TBHC Nursing crown is the Nurse Residency Program, which began in 2018. The program is open to all new nurses at TBHC who have a year or less of professional experience. Based on the success of TBHC’s Nurse Residency Program, Admin & Strategy is exploring a Nursing Internship Program to be offered in collaboration with area nursing schools.
