About Mohammad Nawaz, MD

Dr. Mohammad Nawaz earned his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology fellowship training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He was appointed as chief fellow during his final year of Gastroenterology fellowship training. Dr. Nawaz’s clinical interests include general gastroenterology, colon cancer and prevention, liver diseases, motility, and patient and community education. He is also a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and New York Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
