Eligibility for Pregnant People
People who are 32 through 36 weeks pregnant should get one dose of maternal RSV vaccine to protect their babies. Babies born to mothers who get RSV vaccine at least two weeks before delivery will have protection and, in most cases, should not need an RSV immunization later.
RSV Vaccine For Infants and Young Children
Eligible patients (infants younger than 8 months of age who are born during—or who are entering—their first Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) season and some children age 8 through 19 months who are at increased risk for severe RSV disease and entering their second RSV season) may receive RSV antibodies through TBHC’s Children’s Health Center and Pediatric program.

Eligibility for Infants and Young Children
Infants and young children MUST be existing TBHC patients in order to be eligible to receive the RSV vaccine. TBHC is not able to offer the RSV vaccine to infants or children who are not already enrolled with one of our pediatric providers.
General Information
Infants and young children
To prevent severe RSV disease in infants, CDC recommends either maternal RSV vaccination OR infant immunization with RSV monoclonal antibody is recommended. Most infants will not need both.
Vaccination for pregnant people
- 1 dose of maternal RSV vaccine during weeks 32 through 36 of pregnancy, administered immediately before or during RSV season. Abrysvo is the only RSV vaccine recommended during pregnancy.
Immunization for infants and young children
- 1 dose of nirsevimab for all infants aged 8 months and younger born during or entering their first RSV season.
- 1 dose of nirsevimab for infants and children aged 8–19 months who are at increased risk for severe RSV disease and entering their second RSV season.
